Where it all started

Impact Coatings was founded in 1997, as a spin-out from Linköping University. The starting point was an identified need for coating technologies that are more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly than traditional wet plating methods. The company has since developed state-of-the-art PVD systems and coating processes for demanding industries and customers around the world.

Impact Coatings is today at the forefront globally in two growing market segments. The company supplies coating solutions for critical components to the hydrogen industry – both for fuel cells and electrolyzers – and for the metallization of advanced plastic parts, especially in automotive applications.
